Athens AEK official: Serbian striker Jovic joins with signing for 2 years

Hupu, August 5th, Athens AEK officially announced that Serbian international forward Luka Jovic joined the team without a sign-free, after playing for AC Milan for two years.

Luka Jovic was born on December 23, 1997. His football career began at the Red Star Club in Belgrade and transferred to Benfica Club in 2016.

A year later, he joined Frankfurt, played for two years, played 75 times in various competitions and scored 36 goals. He was an important member of the German Cup champion in 2018-19, and was selected as the best center in the league by Bundesliga players in the same season. He was also selected for the Bundesliga and UEFA Cup team of the year.

His outstanding performance attracted the attention of Real Madrid and eventually signed him for 60 million euros.

In this excellent Spanish club, he participated in the 2019-20 and 2021-22 La Liga titles and helped the team win the 2021-22 Champions League championship.

In the 2022-23 season, Luca Jovic played for Fiorentina and scored 13 goals in 50 official games. Subsequently, he played for AC Milan, making a total of 47 appearances in the 2023-25 season, scoring 13 goals, and was awarded the title of "Red and Blacks" Most Valuable Player of the Month in April last year.

Jovic is an active international in the Serbian national team. He has played 45 times for the national team, scoring 11 goals, and has participated in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and the 2024 European Cup, scoring 1 goal.
