June 25, British media reported that Newcastle is pushing to sign 18-year-old Korean teenager Park Sung-soo.

Park Sung-soo, who plays as a striker, can be competent for the left winger or center. He currently plays for Suwon Samsung in the Korean secondary league and has tried out at Bayern. Park Sung-soo has played for the South Korean U20 national team five times and has also aroused the interest of the Wolves.

Newcastle hopes to finalize Park Sung-soo's transfer before heading to the South Korean Tour next month, which will help boost local interest in the tour. They will face the K League All-Stars at the end of July and then face Tottenham on August 3.
