Post: Nike accidentally leaked Chelsea s new jersey a day in advance, and then deleted it

May 16th, the Daily Mail reported that Nike's new jersey photos were suspected of leaking pictures of new jerseys the day before the official release of the Chelsea 2025-26 season jersey, and related social media posts were quickly deleted.

The sports equipment giant has been providing jerseys for Chelsea since 2016, and the Blues terminated their ten-year contract with Adidas five years in advance and paid a £40 million liquidated damages.

In October of the same year, Chelsea signed the largest commercial contract in the team's history, setting a record 15-year agreement of £900 million. But Nike's turnover this week may have undermined the club's planned 2025-26 jersey promotion plan released on Friday.

Nike posted a post on Twitter with a caption: "Refreshed with electric blue, bordered with pure white, with the pride of West London. The 2025-26 season Chelsea jersey will be released soon..."

After realizing the mistake, the brand quickly deleted the post. Chelsea's official social media has recently continued to build momentum for the release on May 16 with pictures of coffee cups printed with the club logo.

Compared with the design of this season, the new jersey adopts a minimalist style, continuing the design for most of the season, and the new model still does not have the advertising sponsor logo on the chest.

Chelsea's jerseys are not ad-free most of the season due to the failure to finalize a new sponsorship agreement before the season. Although a short-term cooperation has been reached with Middle East luxury real estate companies in the near future, the agreement will be terminated after the final round of the Premier League.
