Rabio: I have a strong resonance with Allegri; I hope to score at least 10 goals this season

Hupu September 12th, AC Milan official held its first press conference since joining the new aid Rabio today. The following is the first half of the press conference.

Do you want to play immediately?

"Yes, of course. I'm ready and I'm in good shape. If the coach lets me play right away, I'll do my best to help the team."

Is Allegri special to you?

"I have shared a lot with him, and when I first arrived at Juventus, I got along well with him. Like I said, he has this ambition, this desire to win, the right mindset, he is a man born for football, and that's exactly what I feel."

"I have a strong resonance with the coach, and even after he left Juventus, we kept in touch and met off the court. For me, before becoming a great coach, Allegri was a great man, and I'm really happy to be reunited with him again in Milan."

How do you feel about Milan?

"Very good. There is a team that wants to win, with young people eager to learn, and senior players, forming a good combination. I felt very comfortable in training yesterday, the environment here is very good, and all the people working for Milan took good care of me and my family from the beginning."

How did this transfer happen?

"It was almost done at the end of the transfer market. Actually, I had already talked to Allegri when he first arrived in Milan, but as you know, I had a contract in Marseille and was bound to this French club. Later, after what happened in Marseille, Allegri immediately called me again, and we talked about the Ross and Blacks' plans, the team he wanted to build, the ambition to return to the Champions League, and a beautiful path in the league. In the end, everything went very fast."

Have you contacted other French compatriots?

"Menion talked to me and he commented on Milan very well. Teo also said I would live a good life here because it is a great club, a big family, and people work professionally. Allegri once coached here, and he has a deep relationship with the club."

"I can't say they convinced me because Milan itself is a prestigious club, and its history says it all, but feedback from active or former players is important. Everyone has a good review of Milan, which makes me convinced that I have made the right choice."

Your career experience is rich... What can you bring to Milan?

"My career is very good: I have won many honors at Paris Saint-Germain and played many games at Juventus, so I hope to continue to maintain this desire for victory, scoring goals, assisting on the court, and helping young people. I am here to help Milan win again and achieve great results. Because last season was a bad season, Milan had to play Champions League every year, and had to fight for Serie A championship and trophy every year. What I brought was leadership and character: I think it was the right choice to come to Milan."

You gave up because of this UEFA Champions League…

"For me, playing football in Milan is more important than going to another team that is qualified for the Champions League but you know that you can't compete and go further. I'm willing to come here, work hard for a year, build a truly strong team with the coach, prepare for next year, and strive to do something big in the Champions League. Maybe I won't win the Champions League in two years, but I have to have this ambition. I could have gone somewhere else and played this year, but what convinced me in the end was the coach's plan."

Have you set a goal for yourself?

"I scored 10-11 goals in Juventus one year and had many assists last year. I like to get in the penalty area, I hope to score at least 10 goals this year. Allegri and Dezelby both think I can be a good player at scoring."
