Admora Lukeman s transfer situation heats up, Atlanta: You can go, but you can t go to Inter Milan!
With a dramatic transfer, Adeola Lukeman has now entered a new stage full of tension. The Nigerian striker formally filed a transfer application to Atlanta because he was disappointed that he was treated unfairly during the contract negotiations.
Tensions have further intensified after Atlanta rejected Inter Milan's 45 million euro plus bonus offer. However, Adeola Lukeman believes he has got the green light for the transfer this summer.
The situation escalated further after Adeola Lukeman posted an emotional statement on social media. In his post, he accused Atlanta of being bad for him both in his personal and professional football player.
Now, Atlanta has finally spoken out. Through CEO Luca Perkasi, the club made it clear that they did open the door to leave for Lukeman, but it was still strict conditions. One of the main conditions is that players are not allowed to transfer to other clubs in Serie A. Inter Milan asked Atlanta to clarify the two conditions for Loman's departure, Luca Percassi revealed that Atlanta has promised to provide a way out for Lukeman this summer. However, this agreement is based on two conditions proposed by the two players themselves.
"Last year, after a 20 million euro offer from Paris Saint-Germain, the player asked us to sell him. As a credible club, Atlanta has promised to sell him in this transfer window based on two conditions he has put to us," Percassi said.
"First of all, go to the top European clubs, and he will never wear other team jerseys in Italy, except Atlanta, considering everything he did for the club and what the club gave him," he continued.
Opportunities to go to Inter Milan have actually been closed
Atlanta management's tough statement indirectly negates Lukeman's chances of joining Inter Milan. Previously, Inter Milan was rumored to be the player's main target.
According to the report, Atalanta's rejection of Inter Milan's 45 million euros disappointed Lockman. However, Perkassi promised that the club will remain rational and prioritize policies that fit their values and long-term plans.
"At present, as you know, the situation is very different. The club has been cautious in evaluating the value and time of the players, but as usual, it was the Atlanta club that made the decision," Percassi said firmly.
