As Romania needs to use its UEFA Nations League spot to qualify for the play-offs, Moldova is eliminated.

Hupu News November 16th: In the European World Cup qualifiers that ended this morning, Romania lost 1-3 to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the away game.

After this game, Romania has been determined to miss the top two in the group, so they can only advance to the play-offs of the European qualifiers of this World Cup through the UEFA Nations League.

They will also take away the play-off seat for the last UEFA Nations League group leader.

Therefore, the four UEFA Nations League play-off seats in the European qualifiers for this World Cup have been roughly determined. The allocation objects are:

The teams from Wales and North Macedonia that fell to third place in the group (the second in the group advanced through the qualifiers, and the third through the UEFA Nations League)

Sweden

Northern Ireland

Before the end of this round, if Romania can obtain a play-off spot through the qualifiers, then Moldova will qualify for the play-offs as the fourth-best UEFA Nations League group in need of places; however, as Romania takes up the UEFA Nations League spot, Moldova is declared out.
