July 5th Fruminense played 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup and successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup. Before that, they also eliminated Inter Milan in an upset manner.

40-year-old Fruminense captain Thiago Silva posted his celebration photos through social media after the game, and wrote: "What else can we say about this great team? With God's guidance, we will not stop fighting 🙏🏌 Thanks to everyone who cheers us, let's continue to move forward!"

Fruminense will play against the winner between Chelsea and Palmeiras in the semi-finals, and his sister-in-law may reunite with her old club.
