Oblak: I didn’t expect to win 6 Golden Gloves when I came to La Liga. This is the credit of the whole team.

November 25th Oblak received the Zamora Award (La Liga Golden Glove) for the 2024-25 season today and accepted an interview with Marca Radio.

Physical condition

"I'm much better and I'm recovering. I'm happy to be here today, but I hope to be on the court as soon as possible."

Have you ever thought about winning the Zamora Award six times when you first came to La Liga?

"I never thought about this. Hard work always pays off. This is never just the credit of the goalkeeper. Conceding less goals is the credit of the whole team. I have always had teammates who gave everything to not concede goals."

Atletico Madrid's goal this season is to win the championship. Jun

"This is the challenge this year. We have not won the championship for a while, but we are still competing in all competitions. We cannot waste time and must be in the best condition to rush to the end of the season."

Are you particularly looking forward to the Champions League?

"The Champions League is always very exciting, it's everyone's dream, but we will fight for every possible championship."

"This is an incredible achievement, many people don't realize how difficult it is."

Do you imagine ending your career at Atletico Madrid?

"Players can't always decide their future. I have a contract, but no one knows what will happen every summer. I am focusing on this season and hope that the next development will be good for everyone."

Can I play in Atletico Madrid's next game?

"Hopefully. I'm doing the best I can, and so are the physios and doctors. But if I can't play, others can do a great job."
