Official: Piszczek appointed as new head coach of Polish League One side Tichy

Hupu November 13th: Polish League One club Tychy officially announced that former Polish national team player and legendary Bundesliga Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek has become the team’s new head coach. The two parties signed a contract until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for one year. Piszczek's coaching staff includes Przemysław Gomułka and Robert Guralczyk.

After ending his brilliant playing career, Piszczek completed the UEFA A-level coaching course and briefly served as Dortmund's assistant coach in 2024. He then coached his hometown team Gorcia Ukovice and led the team to achieve a good record in the third level of Poland. As a player, Piszczek won two Bundesliga titles with Dortmund, won the German Cup three times, and played in the Champions League final. Represented the Polish national team 66 times and participated in four continental competitions.
