Palmeiras coach calls on American fans: Fight England with us on Independence Day

July 4th: Palmeiras will usher in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup with Chelsea on the evening of July 4th. Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira calls on local American fans to support his team.

He said to this: "This is a good opportunity for the local people to fight England with us. Tomorrow (July 4) is American Independence Day... Join us and go with us. We need your support!"

On July 4, 1776, the Continental Conference passed the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies of the thirteen North American states to break away from British rule and establish the United States of America. This day is also designated as American Independence Day.
