September 26 talkSPORT reported that in a previous auction, Marginhos's signature jersey sold for the Champions League final exceeded Messi.

MatchWornShirt recently auctioned several signature jerseys for the Champions League finals of Paris 5-0 Inter. The jerseys worn by William Pacho and Nuno Mendes were auctioned for £13,949 and £26,243 respectively. The jersey of the goalkeeper Kvaratskhelia was also auctioned and eventually sold for an astonishing £36,713, which brought him to seventh place in the company's all-time rankings.

His jersey is sold for nearly £1,000 more than Chelsea star Cole Palmer's jersey, who was worn when he gave away four assists against Brighton last season.

However, it was Brazilian central defender Marginhos who stole the limelight. The jersey he wore in the Champions League final was sold for a staggering £48,119, which was £252 higher than Messi's record. The Chinese New Year-themed jersey worn by Messi against Lance in 2023 is priced at £47,867.

Overall, the total auction of equipment from Paris Saint-Germain has exceeded £171,000, highlighting the thirst of sports fans for souvenirs. Among the match-distribution jerseys (not worn by matches) that Paris Saint-Germain participated in the auction, the most expensive one was Vitinia's jersey, which sold for £8,718. Balcola's jersey was sold for £7,935, while Mayulu's jersey, who came on as a substitute and scored at the end of the game, was sold for £5,324.
