Telegraph: Jackson prefers to go to Newcastle, but it depends on whether they will sell Isaac
Hupu, August 11th, According to the English media Daily Telegraph, Jackson said that if he leaves Chelsea at this transfer window, he tends to join Newcastle United. However, the success of the striker's transfer depends largely on whether Newcastle will give in and sell Isaac to Liverpool. The Daily Telegraph reported on Saturday that Newcastle's board of directors has informed Isaac that he is not on the club's sale list this summer and will not be allowed to transfer to Liverpool, which has angered him. However, while Liverpool said their £110 million offer (rejected) would be their only offer, it is understood that Liverpool is still exploring whether to sign the striker and the transfer process may continue until the transfer deadline. Isaac's contract is still three years away, with Newcastle asking price of £150 million. Jackson became an important choice for Newcastle after Newcastle missed Sheshko last week (the latter chose Manchester United over Newcastle, with a transfer fee of £73.7 million). Eddie Howe has always been eager to replenish his front line, and Chelsea is willing to sell Jackson, and now the 24-year-old also believes that leaving is the best choice for him. It is reported that Jackson has informed Chelsea that he wants to leave the team and the two sides have reached a sale agreement. He was not included in the squad of the friendly against Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge on Friday, and the Senegalese striker has also been training alone. While Newcastle is not Jackson's only potential choice - and it's unclear whether they will bid for him while also struggling to keep Isaac - this is the Senegalese striker's favorite team. However, Chelsea is in talks with several teams in the Premier League and Europe. Whether Jackson will be sold is far from certain, and Chelsea will only consider agreeing to the transfer if the transaction is in its own interest and a suitable agreement can be reached. They are not in a hurry to sell him and hope to recover at least twice the £32 million he paid when he signed him from Villarreal in 2023. Jackson signed a nine-year contract last September. Jackson has scored double-digit goals in both seasons at Chelsea, and although he is not as eye-catching as other Premier League centers, he is still regarded as a reliable striker by Premier League clubs. Meanwhile, Leipzig Red hopes to re-sign French striker Nkunku in the deal to sell Xavi Simmons to Chelsea. Chelsea intends to deal with several players including Nkunku (he himself wants to leave) before pushing forward to introducing Simmons and Manchester United Garnacho. If Simmons is sold, there will be rumors of transfers between Leipzig and Liverpool's Xavi Elliott. But the Bundesliga club is more interested in whether they can bring Nkunku back and get cash from Chelsea. Nkunku was sold to Chelsea for £52 million in June 2023. However, the 27-year-old did not take off his career at Stamford Bridge and was initially hindered by long-term injuries.
