Cameron Anthony finds new job as commentator after inducting into the NBA Hall of Fame
Cameron Anthony was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in April this year, and he will join NBC Sports as a commentator before the 2025-26 season. NBA Hall of Fame member Cameron Anthony found the next path to his life goals and continued to participate in the league's career. This time, he will join NBC Sports’ commentator team. According to person familiar with the matter, Anthony will join NBC Sports' 2025-26 NBA coverage starting this fall. This is the first time that NBC has broadcasted the NBA since the early 21st century, replacing TNT as one of the TV stations that broadcast league games. Anthony was just inducted into the Nai Smith Basketball Hall of Fame in April this year. He was selected by the first round of voting, cementing his position as one of the greatest players in basketball history. Carmelo Anthony's NBA career For Carmelo Anthony, this is a major decision he has faced since retiring from the NBA in 2023. Therefore, he will conduct a profound analysis of the league he has played for 20 years. After winning the national championship at Syracuse University, Anthony entered the NBA as a Tanhua signing in 2003 to join the Denver Nuggets. There, he gradually grew into one of the league's best scorers and helped Denver reach the Western Conference Finals in 2009. The Nuggets eventually traded him to the New York Knicks in 2011, where he laid an important cornerstone of his NBA career. He led the New York Knicks to the playoffs three times and reached the Eastern Conference semifinals in 2013. Anthony amazed home audiences at Madison Square Garden with his superb scoring ability, and even scored 60 points in the 2013-14 season. Anthony left the New York Knicks in 2017 and spent the rest of his career with other teams. He has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers. Although Anthony has never won the NBA championship and has never reached the NBA Finals, he retired as one of the best scorers in NBA history. He has also been selected to the All-Star 10 times and won three Olympic gold medals while on behalf of Team USA.
