Griffin talks about the reasons for retirement: to be with your children always to make up for the parent-child time that players missed

Former NBA star Griffin talked about his life after retirement on a podcast show.

Griffin said: "I just decided to retire and slowly fade out of the public eye and don't do too much. This kind of life is good. I think as a player, you always think about what life will look like after retirement, but to be honest, the days are really great now. I look forward to everything in the future."

When the host Candice Parker asked Griffin, "Putting other jobs, advertising endorsements - such as peeling lobsters, dipping crabs, etc., what is the daily life after retirement? How do you live every day after retirement?"

Parker refers to the cooperation Griffin reached with the seafood chain earlier this year. Griffin smiled and corrected, "First of all, I have to correct you, that's the 'Lobsterfest'. This is stipulated in the contract."

Then, he explained why he decided to retire. "To be honest, one of the biggest reasons why I decided to retire is to be with them every day, watch their sports games, and do all these things that I regret to miss as a player." Griffin and his ex-wife Brin Cameron have two children, 11-year-old son Ford and 8-year-old daughter Finley. Now his schedule is no longer so busy, so he has more time to accompany them.

In addition to serving as the spokesperson for a seafood restaurant chain, Griffin will join Amazon's NBA broadcasting team this fall as a studio analyst, working with Dirk Nowitzki and Taylor Rooks.
