Reporter: Six children of Old Bass have different opinions on the sale of the team, but most vote to agree
June 20 According to previous reports, the Bass family is about to reach an agreement with Mark Walter, CEO and chairman of TWG Global, to sell most of the Lakers' equity, with a transaction valuation of about $10 billion. ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst reported details of the Lakers' sale: "The Bass family has six children: four from Jerry Bass' first marriage and two from his second marriage. Each child has an equal share. To sell the team, the consent of most children must be obtained. Some children want to sell, while others are unwilling." According to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, Dr. Jerry Bass stipulated that only his six children can decide on the team's sale and that a majority of votes can be agreed to. In 2017, his eldest sons tried to remove Jenny Buss from the board of directors but failed to pass the vote. On Wednesday, most of the six Bass siblings voted to sell the team to Mark Walter for $10 billion, and Jenny Bass was also one of the voters.
