Founded in 2000, Bilbao Basketball Club advanced to the Spanish Basketball League One in 2004 after four seasons in the Spanish Basketball League Two. In the 2010-11 season, the team reached the Spanish Basketball League finals and finally lost to Barcelona Basketball Club with a big score of 0-3 and won the runner-up.
