British media: Former Manchester United youth training Savage will coach Green Forest Wanderers, and aim to advance to the UEFA League

July 1, according to GOAL citing the Sun, former Premier League star Robbie Savage will coach the English National League (fifth level) team Green Forest Wanderers.

Robi Savic, 50, is from Manchester United's youth training and has played for Leicester City and Derby County. Robbie Savage became one of the shareholders of low-level league club McClersfield in 2020 and was on the club's board of directors. In June 2024, Robbie Savage became the head coach of McClersfield and led the team to the English Football Northern Premier League (Seventh Level) championship, which was the third upgrade in four years.

Robbie Savage just renewed his contract with McClersfield for two years a month ago, but now after receiving an invitation from Green Forest Wanderers, Robbie Savage is preparing to go to Green Forest Wanderers to coach. Green Forest Rangers finished third in the England National League (Fifth Level) last season, losing in the upgrade play-offs, just one last step away from the UEFA League. Robbie Savage hopes that he can lead the team to the League Two after taking office, so that he can participate in the professional league.
