Heiner: I heard Upa is very happy at Bayern and hope the negotiations go well

Hupu, November 20th, Bayern Munich Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Hainer recently talked about the future of Dayot Upamecano in an interview.

Heiner said in an interview: "I am optimistic. All the news I heard, including what I heard when I talked to him myself, shows that he is very happy at Bayern Munich. He feels very comfortable in the team and gets along very well with the coach. This is also reflected in his performance."

According to the German media "Kicker", Bayern Munich will further accelerate contract renewal negotiations with Upamecano. Club executives are cautiously optimistic that a deal can be reached. Upamecano, who had doubts about playing for Bayern Munich over the past few years, now feels comfortable there and could conceivably extend his contract - but the key will be the terms of the new deal (salary and signing fee). Time is of the essence as Upamecano will be able to formally negotiate with other clubs from January.

Heiner continued: "Of course I hope everything goes well. But as I said, at the end of the day, the contract must be signed first. It is not surprising that a player in such excellent form like him is sought after by other clubs."
