New player Geocles starts with zero start, Arsenal loses to the yellow submarine in a friendly match

Under great expectations, Gunners Arsenal's new Swedish aid Gyokeres made his first debut in the preseason warm-up match against La Liga rival "yellow submarine" Villarreal at the early morning of China Thursday (August 7). Arteta said: "I think he will stay 100% or higher from a psychological level, and from a knowledge of what he needs to do.

"Because he is so proactive, so confident, able to play his best immediately, I have no doubt that he will be in a very good state. We’ve already broken through that line today because I think it’s very important for him to start and start building feelings and connect with the team.

"He has been with us for only about a week, but I've seen a lot of things, a lot of goals, especially the way he attacks in certain spaces."

After playing the warm-up game of Villarreal, Arsenal will compete with another Spanish team, Bilbao, in the annual Chiefs Cup on Saturday.

In the game against Villarreal, Norgaard and Odegaard contributed one goal to the artillery in the first and second halfs, while Villarreal won the final victory with goals from former artillery players Pepe, Eyong and Danjuma.
