110 million in 2 years remaining! Team Note: The Suns are discussing the possibility of buying out Bills
July 4th reported that the Suns have begun to discuss the possibility of buying out Bills. To achieve this, it may require Bill to agree to give up some of his remaining 110 million guaranteed contract. The labor and capital agreement stipulates that the total salary of the players who have been laid off/buyed out cannot exceed 15% of the salary cap. The Suns have previously cut Liddle and Little, and their cumulative layoffs have reached US$3.8 million. The complete buyout of Bill will increase spending $22 million per season ($110 million in five years) so according to calculations, Bill will have to give up a salary of no less than about $13 million (about $2.6 million per season) in total, so the Suns can buy it out with extended terms if it complies with the rules.
