Famous reporter: The Knicks once included Westbrook on the backup point guard candidate list, and Benxi is currently a popular candidate.

October 17th Today's famous reporter Jake Fischer talked about Westbrook and Simmons in his podcast "Insider Notebook".

When asked, "Are the Kings really Westbrook's only choice?" Fischer said: "Although the Knicks have included Westbrook on the veteran point guard candidate list and considered him as a substitute for Brunson (and Clarkson), this is more of a question. During the preliminary discussions, I have never heard of any substantive progress between the Knicks and Westbrook."
