According to Marc Stein, the Lakers are interested in introducing a striker who can attack and defend, such as Andrew Wiggins.

Marc Stein reported: "Wigkins, 30, is $28.2 million this season and has a $30.2 million player option in 2026-27. I wouldn't list Doncic's long-term future as a Lakers, but now it's different. So my feeling is that if the Heat decide to prioritize financial flexibility and seek salary cuts in the next few weeks or months, the Lakers will be interested in Wiggins."
