In the second quarter, he scored 0 of 4 without scoring. Gobert's performance was hard to describe. He played 22 minutes, made 1 of 3 shots, scored 5 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block, and made 5 turnovers.

For the Knicks, Towns also faced his old team and felt cold. He played 26 minutes and made 2 of 11 shots, 0 of 3 three-pointers, 10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block, and made 3 turnovers. Towns made 1 of 7 shots in the first half, 0 of 3 three-pointers, 5 of 5 free throws, 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

Brunson was also out of shape and felt average. He played 27 minutes, shooting 4 of 14 from the field, 1 of 6 three-pointers, and only scored 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bridges played steadily, playing 25 minutes, making 6 of 12 shots, 3 of 7 three-pointers, and scored 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. New aid Clarkson played 18 minutes, making 4 of 11 shots, 0 of 6 three-pointers, 2 of 2 free throws, and scored 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
